Sapporo here we come

You'll have to excuse me for being a bit tardy with blog posts for the next three weeks. I'm headed over to Sapporo to photograph the snow festival and freeze my bum off in -20 degree temperatures!

After 10 days or so in Sapporo I'll be flying to Osaka and then up to Tokyo for a few days.

So I won't be posting too much but will definitely drop by when I can to let you know how it's going.

For those of you who are curious to know what I'm taking:

2 x dSLRs (I'll leave the type and brand to your imagination!)
1 x 10-22mm f3.5-4.5
1 x 28-70mm f2.8
1 x 70-200mm f2.8
1 x 400mm f5.6
2 x flashes (plus incandescent and fluro gels)
1 x 1.4 extender
1 x macro extender
Various polarising and ND, half ND filters
1 x Manfrotto tripod.
1 x 80GB portable storage device

All packed into my LowePro PhotoTrekker AW bag, with my Orion Off Trail 2 bag along for street shooting.

Because we'll be staying at the in-laws for most of it any back-ups I need to do I can do on their computer so just one storage device should do me.

And that's about it. Not too much gear , but more than the average happy snapper. I look forward to showing you what I came away with when I get back.
